The Interview

Q1

Who is a mentor or leader that has shaped who you are today?

My grandmother was my first mentor. She ran a small business in rural Georgia with nothing but faith, grit, and an unshakable belief in her community. She taught me that leadership isn't about a title — it's about how you show up for others.

Q2

What is one piece of advice you would give to women stepping into leadership for the first time?

Stop waiting to feel ready. Confidence is built through action, not before it. Take the seat, speak up in the room, and trust that you belong there — because you do.

Q3

What does empowerment mean to you?

Empowerment to me means having the tools, the community, and the courage to design your life on your own terms. It's not given — it's cultivated. And it looks different for every woman.

Q4

What is something you wish more women knew about success?

Success is not a straight line, and it was never meant to be. The detours, the pivots, the hard seasons — they are part of the path, not a sign that you've failed. Some of my greatest breakthroughs came right after my hardest moments.

Q5

How do you stay grounded while juggling multiple roles and responsibilities?

I protect my mornings fiercely. Prayer, journaling, and movement before anything else. When I start the day anchored in who I am and what I value, everything else flows with more intention.
